1. Who may use the Service

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your state or union territory) and competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. If you use the Service on behalf of a business (for example, a turf or venue), you represent that you are authorised to bind that entity.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service — including browsing the site, submitting early access or partner interest forms, or (when available) creating an account or making a booking — you accept these Terms. We may refuse access or service to anyone at any time, subject to applicable law.

3. Description of the Service

TurfTap is developing a platform to help users discover sports turfs and related venues, view availability, and book slots. The Service is currently in pre-launch: the website may offer information, waitlists, partner registration, and previews. Features such as live booking, payments, and partner dashboards will be rolled out over time and may be subject to additional terms presented at signup or checkout.

No professional advice. Content on the Service is for general information only. It is not legal, financial, medical, or sporting advice. Venue details, prices, and availability shown on the Service (including mockups or demos) may be illustrative until we fully launch in your city.

4. Licence to use the website

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for personal or internal business purposes in line with these Terms. Unless we expressly permit otherwise, you may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service or our branding;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where Indian law prohibits such restriction;
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices;
• Use the Service to build a competing product or to scrape data at scale without permission;
• "Mirror" or frame the Service on another site without our prior written consent.

5. Accounts, bookings & payments

When accounts and bookings go live, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep credentials secure. Bookings may be between you and the venue (or with us as an intermediary, as stated at the time of booking). Cancellation, rescheduling, refunds, and no-show rules will be shown before you confirm and may depend on the venue's policy and applicable law.

Payments. If we or our partners collect payments, they will be processed through approved payment providers. Taxes (including GST, where applicable) may be charged as required by law. Prices and fees may change; material terms will be communicated as required under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and related rules for e-commerce or electronic transactions, where they apply to us.

6. Consumer information (India)

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any statutory rights you may have as a consumer under laws applicable in India, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, to the extent those rights cannot be waived. If you are a "consumer" under Indian law, certain clauses (including some limitations below) may be read subject to mandatory provisions of law.

7. Your content & conduct

If you submit reviews, images, messages, or other content ("User Content"), you retain ownership of your intellectual property in that content, but you grant TurfTap a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and use User Content as needed to operate, promote, and improve the Service. You represent that you have the right to grant this licence and that your content does not violate law or third-party rights.

We may remove or restrict User Content or accounts that we reasonably believe breach these Terms, harm other users, or violate the Information Technology Act, 2000 or the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, where we act as an intermediary.

8. Prohibited uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law in India or elsewhere;
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation;
• Send spam, phishing, or malware, or probe or attack our systems without authorisation;
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users, venues, or our staff;
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers) in a way that overloads the Service or bypasses rate limits, except with our prior written consent;
• Circumvent security features or access data you are not authorised to access.

9. Third-party services & venues

The Service may link to or integrate third-party websites, maps, payment gateways, or venue systems. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices. Your dealings with venues (quality of pitches, safety, insurance, local rules) are primarily between you and the venue; TurfTap facilitates discovery and booking where we offer that feature, as described at the time of use.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, including branding, logos, text, graphics, software, and layout, is owned by TurfTap or its licensors and is protected under Indian and international intellectual property laws. Except for the limited licence in Section 4, no rights are granted to you. Do not use our trademarks or trade dress without prior written permission.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law in India, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that defects will be corrected.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law in India, TurfTap and its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption, arising from your use of the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the specific transaction giving rise to the claim in the three (3) months before the claim, or (b) Indian Rupees five thousand (₹5,000), except that nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TurfTap and its affiliates from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your misuse of the Service, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

14. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if required by law. Upon termination, the licence granted to you ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law, and dispute resolution) will survive.

15. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles that would require the application of another country's laws. Subject to mandatory consumer-protection provisions, you agree that the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.

16. Force majeure

We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, war, terrorism, labour disputes, internet or power failures, or government actions.

17. General

• Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented for specific features, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
• Severability. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• No waiver. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
• Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. Where required by law — including the DPDP Act, 2023 and consumer protection rules — we will provide notice of material changes (for example by email or a prominent notice on the Service). Your continued use after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
